The muffle furnace has a working temperature range of 300-1700℃ and is widely used in various laboratories and industrial scenarios. It can be used for material sintering, heat treatment, pyrolysis and carbonization, ashing, degreasing, material analysis, etc.

Step 1: Prepare before the experiment

Check electrical properties: Before powering on, check whether the electrical properties of the muffle furnace are in good condition and whether the ground wire is in good condition to ensure that there is no power outage or leakage.

Oven: After first use or long-term shutdown, oven is needed at a temperature of 200~600°C for about 4 hours.

Step 2: Place the sample and set the temperature

Close and open the furnace door gently: When using, the furnace door should be closed and open gently to prevent damage to parts.

Set temperature: After placing the sample, set the temperature to the required value, and observe the heating current value indicated by the ammeter to ensure normal heating in the furnace.

Temperature control: The maximum furnace temperature shall not exceed the rated temperature, nor shall it be operated at the rated temperature for a long time to avoid burning the electric heating elements.

Step 3: Regularly review the heating process

Regularly check the temperature: muffle furnace is a high temperature, high power instrument, heating process should regularly check whether the temperature is stable, found abnormal immediately power off.

Step 4: Cut off the power supply and take out the sample

Power off before sampling: turn off the power supply before sampling, slightly open the furnace door, and carefully clamp the sample after it cools down a little.

Anti-burn: Wear high-temperature gloves when taking samples and use crucible tongs to carefully remove them to avoid burns or electricity leakage accidents.

Cleaning and maintenance: After each use, clean the inside and outside of the box and remove oxides and other debris in the furnace in time.

Maintenance of the muffle furnace

1. Grounding inspection: When using muffle furnace, ensure that the equipment is well grounded. After closing the box door, check whether the instrument indication is normal.

2. Thermocouple protection: Do not pull out or insert the thermocouple at high temperature to prevent the outer sleeve from bursting.

3. Prohibition of liquids and metals: It is prohibited to pour liquids and easily soluble metals into the furnace.

4. Environmental requirements: The muffle furnace and controller should operate in an environment with a relative humidity of no more than 85%, and free of conductive dust, explosive gases or corrosive gases.

Regular inspections and regular inspections

1. Regularly check the connecting wires: Regularly check whether the connecting wires between the electric furnace and the controller are in good condition to ensure that the thermocouple wiring is normal.

2. Furnace wire inspection: Regularly check the contact between the furnace wire and the connecting bolt to ensure heating efficiency.

3. Troubleshooting:

The furnace temperature cannot rise to the set temperature: check whether the furnace wire is open, whether the solid state relay is burned out, and whether the voltage is too low.

The case is electrified: check whether the power supply line is damaged and whether the power supply ground wire is in reliable contact.
